Most of the common problems can be diagnosed by reviewing the data from the Summary Report, Un-averaged Fringe Plots and Convergence plots. Another useful tool is to review the P-level plot. This shows you the element equation P-level for every element edge. As of release 2001, this plot can only be made using the independent mode of Pro/MECHANICA.
